TiWanna “TK” Kenney is the fearless hero we’ve all cheered for. After courageously serving our country, she decided to swap her combat boots for heels and change lives around the country, one nonprofit at a time. Her journey has taken her from over 13 years in financial services, community relations to finally discovering her passion as an auctioneer/emcee.
Since entering the workforce she has been in the business of busting stereotypes and breaking molds. As the first African American woman to earn the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designation through the National Auctioneers Association (NAA). She is committed to increasing representation of women (<15%) and ethnic (<5%) diversity in the auction industry.
Kenney is the founder of Astounding Auctions and Fundraising Strategies, where she and her team lead onsite and virtual fundraisers for nonprofit organizations throughout the United States. Leveraging her passions for storytelling and consultation she touches the hearts of attendees. Charismatic and witty, Kenney uses those skills, along with her silky-smooth voice, to inspire donors to give with wild abandon. This multi-talented mom does it all: instructing future auctioneers, hosts fundraising classes, engaging emcee, voice over talent, championing diversity for the auction industry, and is a full-time entrepreneur. A high-energy go-getter, she is dedicated to seeing nonprofits win big.
Kenney is a member of the National Auctioneers Association, Texas Auctioneers Association, and serves on multiple boards across Texas. She has been featured as a 2025 Austin Woman Changemaker, Featured in Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas, Woman to Watch in Austin Woman Magazine, 2021 Austin Woman Award, featured on the Summer ‘20 cover of Texas Meeting & Events Magazine, finalist for 2020 Austin Under 40 in Innovation & Startup, Austin Woman’s Way Business Award Recipient 2021, and the 2023, 2021, & 2020 Benefit Auction Summit Chair. She is also an instructor of the NAA’s Benefit Auctioneer Specialist Course and operates the McLennan School of Auctioneer Academy
